USA SHIPPING RATES

Free Shipping Offer DOES NOT apply to over sized items such as Depron Foam, EPP Foam, airplanes or airplane kits and tool boxes.  Some airplane kits and large boxes of foam may contain additional costs that will be included in the options portion of each item. Please understand this is not a way for GraysonHobby to add hidden fees, but understand the shipping companies use volume and weight when determining shipping charges. For example a box of 24inch  x 36inch  EPP foam weights 2lbs, but has to ship in an UPS oversized box due to the volume.
 
Our Free Shipping offer is not a "gotcha" but due to the every increasing shipping prices passed down from the varies shipping companies, we must charge actually shipping for large items.  Understand, that most times the shipping price per order is actually more than what we charge. 

Large items that do not qualify for free shipping (Depron Foam, EPP Foam, airplanes or airplane kits and tool boxes) ship only UPS.  Shipping charges are calculated by UPS based on your shipping zip code and order weight.  We cannot quote you a shipping price, but you may goto www.UPS.com/calculate to manually calculate the shipping costs and transit times. 

 If you need your package in a certain time period, UPS is your only option.  Please note that when choosing UPS Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air  GraysonHobby will process your in the same 24-48 time period, but only THE TRANSIT TIME is expedited.  When we see an order with Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air, we usually send that to the front of the queue, but we can not guarantee this.  Also if products are out of stock, your entire order will be held until we can ship..  Sometimes we run out of certain products while our website does not reflect this.

 Please understand there are people behind the counts and sometimes they make mistakes. 
 
If your package is received damaged, you MUST send us a picture either email or to our PO Box.  Both USPS and UPS need proof of the damage.  USPS and UPS sometimes will require the damage items to be shipped the respective parties so DO NOT use or any products or throw anything away.  Once you use the products or throw the package away, these are ineligible for insurance claims.

International orders are sent USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail. You add as much as you like and the shipping rate will not increase.  International orders are shipped bi-weekly due to the custom forms and other required international paper work.  Average transit time is 6-10 days to your receiving country, however customs delays varies from country to country.  Note that you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country.  Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information.  If you country is not listed, please let us know and we will try to add your country to our approved country list.

NOTE: If your package was shipped via USPS, when tracking this package at www.usps.com, you may see the following message: "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper or shipping partner on January 01, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later."   If you click the details tab just below that, you will see that the package was accepted by the post office on the specified date. There is no day to day tracking with delivery confirmation service so you will not be able to see every stop the package makes on its way to you and may only see the acceptance scan and the delivery scan once it is delivered. USPS SHIPPING

If you choose USPS Economy mail for your shipping option, please note, the tracking information for USPS is not as accurate as UPS.  You may or may not get updates on the USPS website and in some cases the tracking number will be updated the day after your package has been delivered. 
 
Packages sometimes take up to 21 days to be delivered USPS Economy mail and are un-traceable.  If you need to have the package in less time, then Grayson Hobby HIGHLY suggests using UPS.
 
Most of the time when the USPS label is printed, the USPS tracking website will not show any movement in the package.  This inaccuracy is the nature of USPS tracking system.  If you need a detail tracking number with daily updates, then UPS is your only option.

USPS is VERY reliable but sometimes much slower than UPS.  Hence you pay a bit less for USPS.


 

USPS DAMAGED PACKAGE

If you open Credit Card and or PayPal dispute after you have received a shipping tracking number, it is less than 21 days from the time your order has been shipped, you will loose the dispute AND we are not authorized to communicate with you any longer.   All communications MUST go thru the arbitrator which can take 60-90 days to determine the outcome.  We advise you to NOT TO DO THIS.  Please email us and WE WILL RESOLVE ANY PROBLEM.  We have not been in business for over since 2001 with many repeat customers by being dis-honest.

UPS LOST PACKAGES

If your package is lost or mis-directed using UPS, you can call them at 1-800-PICK-UPS (742-5877) with the tracking number and they will take care of everything.  This is not the case with USPS. 

BOTTOM LINE

Both USPS and UPS are rock solid companies.  We never have ANY issues with either companies that could not be resolved.  We do want to make you aware that USPS is slower and does not have a detail tracking system.  On the flp side UPS is a bit more expensive, especially to rural areas, BUT there delivery date is almost ALWAYS guaranteed.
 
Everyones situation is a bit different and that is why GraysonHobby now offers USPS shipping along with UPS shipping

DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE
We will accept GraysonHobby defective merchandise that was purchased from Grayson Hobby for refund or exchange under the following conditions: Merchandise muse be returned within 30 days of purchase. We do not accept returns via COD or billed to Grayson Hobby in any way. The merchandise must be in new and unused condition and in its original package, and in resalable condition. Do not write anything on the package or product. Installing radio parts in a model, cutting up balsa sheets in kits, installing and using a battery, installing software or discarding the packing material are some examples of what constitutes used merchandise. Servo returns must include the complete unopened accessory package. Any servo return with an incomplete or missing accessory package will not be exchanged or refunded. All returns must include a copy of the original packing list that came with your shipment and our RMA form.  You must include a note with the reason for return or exchange or we will not process your return. Defective merchandise will be replaced or refunded at our discretion.
